Blessid be the rain
That takes away the pain
It helps us forget the wounds
And wash away our sins

Blessid be the rain
That's nature's novacain
It numbs and soothes
And helps us anew, begin

Blessid be the rain
Though fierce as torrent
And calm as the sea
Nature's breath and grief

Blessid be the rain
It washes away our torments
And gives us beauty to see
It gives life, no matter how brief

Blessid be the rain
That takes away the breath of life
And gives it to the babes
All of it leaves, only to return

Blessid be the rain
That takes away the strife
Like the beach's waves
Alive with those who learn
