No one could ever tame that spitfire
she would walk on the sun and never flinch
God would fall on his throne when she prayed
a beauty her persona never betrayed

She rang a bell of freedom in a prison
and gave bread to the starving children
a swish of her hand and men would kneel
a flick of her head was all she’d need to appeal

That terrible day no one will forget
as she lay on the earth no more
never again to leave a person speechless
without her we all felt a love of less

She told us to never forget something forgotten
always in riddles did she speak
she said this race of people forgot to think
always was she stretching the mind to the brink

Never again will we sense her presence
never be surprised by her actions
an awful place are we without this girl
never again will we be unfurled

Live on her memory let us all sing
and remember the unique dream of her
think for yourself, or have you forgotten
The beauty this girl had brought on
