Both of us knew the end was in sight,
the time for this was against us,
so I went placidly without a fuss,
but Damnit you had my heart,
I'm breaking because of the part,
but I'll survive,
I always do,
but right now,
My Sides Hurt,
its missing the touch of you,
my mind is accepting,
but my soul is not,
and Damnit,
Its Making my Sides Hurt,
Over-reacting you think am I
you did not know what he was like,
with his gentle brawn and comforting smile,
his big hands that drove me wild,
and I dont' care what you think,
He's part of me,
my missing link,
and God-Damnit,
My Sides Hurt,
Its missing his touch,
my heart's thumping too hard,
breaking my ribs with this need,
and it's because of him,
it's always been,
He's Making My Sides Hurt.

this is exactly how I am feeling right now with my lonely bed (and it is partly the reason that I am up at 3.15 in the morning reading poetry)

This poem is so true to the way that losing a love can feel, Great write, I can really capture the pain in it. Dusty~
