A man without a face squishes a harmless cobweb spider underfoot, for it filled him with fear.

"That thing could have bitten my daughter and killed her dead," he said over and over to convince himself that his actions were justified.

He then walked back to his daughters room to tuck her in and tell her goodnight.

"Oh my GOD!," he screamed in frantic terror. Ten minutes later the man commited suicide.

What he saw in the cradle was his only child, dead from the poisonous bite of a black widow.

Coincidence?

i don't know why, but this just got to me. i can't stop crying, this has got to be the most horrible poem i have ever read. i don't know what it is about it, it just made my heart stop in my chest, filled me with fear.
