She journeyed the treachorous cavern,
Discovering an ancient book of lore.
Sweeping away dust of the ages,
She delved deep within my heart.

Crystal tears fell from her eyes,
Staining each page she read with love.
Sharing each emotion written therein,
She sang sweet lullabies of hope.

So innocent, so pure, so beautiful...

Overwhelming fear rose up within me,
As a great rainstorm in a land of eternal drought.
A coward to these foriegn feelings,
I fled the gift of happiness she offered.
