Free verse is poetry devoid of
the cumbersome constraints of a useless rule book.
Although it may not seem as smooth as more
structured methods of writing,
free verse is usually rich in raw emotion.
Tendencies include, but are not limited to
1)no rhyme scheme
2)no flow
3)the write may seem haphazard,disorganized
the write may appear (to an outsider) to be cryptic...gibberish
4)there may very well be an
over-abundance of caps or profanity
5)slang is often employed for that down home effect
6)dramatic spacing
7)+.h.i.s. +/y/p/e (o)F +*h*i*n*g
8)minimalistic in word content
I think you now have a working knowledge of free verse writing.
Now...let me show you free verse in motion
I'll employ as many of the tendencies as I can
while trying to remain remotely tasteful.
