was it all really so beauitiful
or did the drugs taint our vision
did the stars really collide
or did a '91 monte carlo
just back fire
did anything ever mean anything
was nothing everything
was today as wasteful as
yesterday was
is tomorrow an option
or is it mandatory
did your eyes really hold me
or was it the drugs
holding your eye
holding me
is love a momentary position
or a drug induced flash flood
did you think of me
as you fucked me
or was i his surrogate
did you want me
as you took me
or would you
have taken
anything?

Hindsight... sometimes it doesn't matter what really happened, especially when our perspective is happier than reality. This got progressively sharper as the lines went on... where the intro held my hand, the ending stabbed out my heart. . .
