Strange to think that our ties
could burden....

And bound as we are, knotted and frayed within,
It's difficult to imagine a length of compassion
Could links, divide
and bring our binding gods to their knees

The Cords tighten, and burn
The pain brings a measure of peace
But too long without "feeling" and
the limb shall eventually die in place

She put Nirvana on as she
lay her self down to sleep...
drifting off, minding never
as the air closed in around her

~*~

Abiding the moonlight with
the crosses in her eyes and
across her thatchwork skin, she shallowly breathed
Wrists, a monument to a bleeding loyalty
This corset she's adorned, as a gift
now contain and restrict every haunted breath

The welts will soon fade
It's a master's mercy

It's a curse in it's own

As It allows for more, tomorrow

her hearttangled in thorns is
a place of broken mirrors,
the music of a dead prophet
filling out the walls to bursting
so a ballance is placed on the spirit
Where the shock can be beared with pride
As bare as skin, this submissive angel in red
Turns down the sheets with a cold hand
Colder now, beside the mantle,
where forged the steel
As locks rust tight in place

Where does anyone hold answers
But could give them away
Without a price?

What does one pay for a clean start?

How does the devil sustain his luster
If not with shame?

And gods give us compassion
as pain gives us cause for prayer
addictions are a surrender
Until cold death lays us bare

And the very second it left her

She cried out with a name

With tears that choke the summons

Jesus Christ, Or Kurt Cobain?

No, never you mind

The scores upon the headboard tally
the unabashed reprievals
The sentiments of allthings go unrevieled
And in the midst of waking up
to a new broken morning, master
found the crumpled ball of silk in the corner

Where heaven and hell tore her
limb from limb
