I haven't
slept, baby
The softness
Takes my cares
Abbrevi-
ate mornings
In tones I
Choose to wear

I sit here
In silence
My thoughts
are carousels

all music

all laughter

Such stories I could tell....

my heart beats, all so passion’d
my words fall off the tongue
This sky, so simply magic
This day fits like a glove

all reason

cares nothing

when rhyme so
patiently

awaits a painter's fashion
in purest fantasies

I've seldom
been to this place
as I have seldom seen

Such meticulous whims
of sensuality

Yes I remember your face
I've glimpsed beyond a dream
and I could carve out a name

upon the changing sea

I haven't
Slept, darlin

I just can't put it down

This solid in-
fant morning

In such vivacious sound

My thoughts be-

come outlets

My thoughts are hardly there

The cadence falls so easy
I wear the rhythm, bare

Beyond the sapphire queen
Further than Alice falls
I will await you, my dear

Upon your beck and call

I will await you beyond
Should you so choose to be
For I could carve out a name

Upon the changing sea….

But if I may step away from the spinning
separation of it's fall, I'd tell you that

I think it's oh so beautiful how you seem
to get closer, and neverever move at all.

Sometimes I could reach right out and touch you
Push beyond sight, beyond star's listless pall

Touch you, and touch nothing at all....

I haven't slept,
baby

The softness takes my cares
