How easily you toss me aside
A dirty secret you want to hide
From eyes you don't want to see
Showing feelings for someone like me
I feel I'm hanging by a thread
One wrong move I'll fall off the edge
You know I've loved you, right from the start
And I'll be lonely but that's the way of my heart

I keep my passions tightly bound
Buried deep without a sound
When I sleep, they awake
What demons want, they always take
When I finally close my eyes
My dreams of you are no surprise
You know I've loved you, right from the start
And I'll be lonely but that's the way of my heart

When I awaken in the night
I think you are lying by my side
Did God answer my only prayer
But when I reach, you're not there
It is not my love for you that makes me sad
You remind me of what I could have had
You know I've loved you, right from the start
And I'll be lonely but that's the way of my heart

I can feel the darkness coming soon
Black clouds are filling my skies
When lightening crashes and thunder booms
I will be thinking of your eyes
If your heart you could unseal
What wonderful secrets would you reveal
You know I've loved you, right from the start
And I'll be lonely but that's the way of my heart

Our friendship would have never been
If what you get from me, you had from him
It is okay to cry, no need to restrain now
All you have to do is remember how
When the begining meets the end
Will I be able to say good-bye to you, my friend
You know I've loved you, right from the start
And I'll be lonely but that's the way of my heart

Your words effectively inspire emotion in the reader (at least they did in me). Very moving.
