There is not enough to fill this black hole

That was once my heart and soul

On a good day

It is of the deepest, darkest gray

Other than that

It is forever black

One more virginal mind attracted to this dark

Falsely believing, you’ll remain unharmed

You smile and talk about innocence lost

How can you even begin to know your cost

You say you will devote your love to me

How foolish, I consume youthful curiosity

I will swallow it whole

My tender, little morsel

And the essence that is now you

Will be fouled as it passes through

A faint whimper in my void

Another innocent destroyed

Your mind will be ravaged

Your heart will be savaged

Your soul will be raped

Once you begin, there is no escape

So you still wish to leap into this abyss

Okay, then blow your mother a good-bye kiss

And pour your immaculate light right on in

For it will never be seen again

Sometimes innocence isn't all it's cracked up to be- the other side of innocence is naivete.

Chilling, and yet I too on occasion will look down into the dark hole below and still plunge into it, seemingly innocent.

Now why is that that you can know the stake before hand, know the probability of fate against you, and still be head strong into chance? Thought provoking piece you have here. ~T
