Within my mind
I have mastered time
Explored the universe
Times the speed of light

I did dance and sing
Upon Saturn’s rings
I’ve traveled to the stars
Smoked weed on Mars

Road a comet’s tail
The solar winds I’ve sailed
Got a two second tan
Laying on Mercurial sands

I searched the heavens
Could not find heaven
Did not hear from God
Out here, there is no love

Now, I sit on the moon
Earth is at high noon
I sense faint melodies
Songs of my fading humanity

In this gray place
Where there is no sound
I watch my world
Spin round and round

Beyond my disgrace
I still have the faith
The crescent blue bears my love
You, who I’m dreaming of

When you’re alone tonight
Please step outside
Lift your eyes to the sky
A full moon rising high

From a quarter million miles
I will see your smile
My love, I will find you
Somewhere,
On the shadow side of blue

As for the rest of you
If you want to see a fool
Turn your eyes to the moon
Yup, that’s me, drinking martinis
In the Sea Of Tranquility

I believe you've posted this one before on dp as it sounds awfully familiar. Either way the imagery is magical. ~T
