Another gone.
One less human in the world.
More tears,
more wails.
Another grave being dug
One more stone being written on.
Just one more face to be forgotten.
Just another life lost.
right?
wrong.
An innocent life
gone.
A day of suffering,
until, finally, peace.
No words could express the loss
of this life.
[Twist a knife in my heart
I won't feel it.]
Another life lost
another son taken
one more deceased teenager.
Another grieving family.
Broken hearts
rebroken.
[Wake me up in the morning
only to kill me slowly,
letting the grief get to me
allowing memories to slowly fade to black]
Just another life lost
to some people.
Another teenager who did wrong
people will say.
This life, this guy,
did nothing to seal his own fate.
Scoff and disbelieve
and say
"oh well. It's just him. nothing lost"
Say that to his mother,
father,
friends,
family.
He's not just another life lost,
another body six feet under.
He's an innocent life
stolen before his time.
[Tomorrow's another day to die.
So kill me slowly,
to ponder my life
and let all my memories fade away.]

Dedicated to Joey...my friend...who was in a car accident on Friday night, June 25th and who was pronounced dead at 3:45 pm Saturday, June 26th.

Joey, you're not just another lost life. You're an angel up in heaven, watching over everybody you love, and everybody who loves you. I'll never forget you, I love you like a brother.

* The other passenger, another friend..Brian is fine...only tramatized. I love you Brian! I'm here any time you need me...although you can't see this
