Never Piss Off A Writer

We may look small and innocent,
We may look weak and feeble
but we’re not
While I may not be able to withstand the power of your punch
I can go home, I can sit down and I can write
And I can destroy you with my words
And leave a mark, a scar bigger then the one your punch left on me

Never piss off a writer
Because though I may not look that evil
Ooohhh I can be that evil
Because as I write I have the magical touch to
Break you down with my words
To use them as my little minions
And I can bend them and sculpt them into whatever I like

Never piss off a writer
Because with words I always roll deeper then you and your little posse
I can throw words at you harder and faster then you can throw punches
I can shoot words at you like I’m shooting arrows at a target
Always landing a bull’s eye

Never piss off a writer
Because when a poet speaks
Others sit and listen trapped in the words they are spillin
They have the power to persuade and dominate
A great orator can leave a great mark on the world
Made evident in the cases of
Cicero, Churchill, Gandhi
And yes even Hitler

Never piss off a writer
Because at a young age we learned
the power of harsh words and name calling
While you can fight
I can torment you by chanting over and over
And by spitting words into a mic over and over
And posting things up everywhere
For everyone to see
So while that play ground fight may be talked about for weeks
My words will be preserved and kept and read for years

Never piss off a writer
I repeat never, ever, EVER piss off a writer
Because we all know in the end
The power of spoken word
Always hurts more
