born of light my love
never to be encased in vile darkness
a gift from above
holding you in our infinite happiness

never knowing what would occur

you were my dark haired angel
strong arms, enveloping me in warm hugs
soft lips, caressing mine in sweet kisses
God said, "let there be Love."
And it was good

a path through the forest shines with silver moonlight

arm in arm, always touching, never apart
we stroll down this avenue
between the glowing trees
never noticing there were footprints
other than our own

the moonlight glows from the petals of roses in a garden

we meet in an embrace
ecstasy born of love
clutching you tight to my breast
i'll never let you go
we seem to glow in the moonlight
radiant in our love
as we come together, finally one

evil looms near as we sleep together so peacefully

we're awakened by sounds of laughter
i look to you in fear
there is a distance in your eyes
down my cheek rolls a tear
all around us are prints
tiny hoof prints in the dew
i notice as i look
there are more around you.

in fear we depart from this place where we've loved

the moonlit path leads to the sea
two boats waiting
one for you,
one for me
i climb into my boat
hand outstretched for your touch
time has played tricks
for your already gone
drifted away on the swell of the waves
my heart torn asunder
from the hurt
from the pain

i drift on for hours
hours turn to days
awaiting your return
i wait in a daze

a storm rages in
anguish, pain, rage
gales throwing knives
at my wrists
dulling pain

days turn to weeks
and weeks into months
how did this happen?
we were so in love

my tiny boat washes ashore on a beach
a bleak barren landscape
a morbid reprieve
nothing
emptiness
i lie on the beach
wondering how long
before i can speak

after ages of sorrow i look to the left
something is lying there
buried in sand
the hull of a boat
a small one like mine
i uncover it quickly
to find what's inside

you lay there shivering
hungry and weak
begging for a hug
for love that's so sweet

my heart is empty
i'm bitter in my pain
can i love you again?
could it ever be the same?

i give you one hug
a token for what we had
any more shall be earned
trust must be earned back

i stare at you
so different
yet the same
darkness surrounds you
satan's evil game

i see your heart in the darkness
incased in its vile decomposition
sullied
scarred
torn asunder like my own

God had said "let there be Love"
but the darkness crept in and stole
my gift from above
