Still lingers
An autumn day,
Golden rays of sunlight
Punctuate an afternoon’s toil
While the gentle breeze whispers
The sweet melodies of life

Frolicking through
The abundant shedding
Of elder maples and ancient oaks
Covering the earth
So delicately
Like pieces of a timeless puzzle

Sadness can’t touch us here
As only the beautiful pictures we create
Are allowed admission
Flowing gently though
Like cascading water
To a placid pool,
Creating ripples in our innocence
Exploding in wonton sprays
Of raw delight

We could live forever here
Yet the hum of some reality
Lures us back
To exist another moment
Leaving only a wish
To grace our dreams once more

i have to agree the imagery in this peice was astonding and also must say that you command attention with a talent that others only dream to aspire to ~~Pure1~~

Your words make me long for fall again... Such brilliant imagery and beautiful feelings you have given to me. This is beyond words.... Julia~
