I saw you today & saddened you stood,
as you turned to look my way.
So beautiful & kind with a smile so cold,
Like a dreary shadow fadeing to grey.
I truthfully wanted to speak from my heart,
but my words would not leave my mind.
That moment you held me in your arms.
